We are excited to announce the recent appointment of South Bend native, George Azar, as the new Executive Director of Forever Learning. He is honored to join an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors aged 50 and older through a vibrant community of learning and sharing.'
With over eighteen years of experience in education as a teacher, dean, and principal, George brings a results-driven approach and a passion for service. His background includes strategic planning and leadership in various educational environments, from public to private schools, both in-person and virtually. Throughout his career, he has focused on improving student learning outcomes and supporting educators in their professional development. His experience with developing volunteer programs and fostering community partnerships aligns perfectly with Forever Learning’s mission to create a rich, collaborative learning environment.
George is eager to collaborate with FLI’s dedicated volunteers and members to expand the curriculum, enhance offerings, and continue building a supportive community where everyone can thrive through the joy of learning.
George resides in South Bend with his wife, a longtime educator, and four children. He enjoys attending his children’s athletic events, spending time with family, and cheering on his IU Hoosiers!
